My name is Akiim DeShay. I created this website, because like you I was interested in getting information not only about Dallas, but specifically about black Dallas. I was looking for a good place to start a new career and raise a family. I lived in Dallas between 1991 and 1996. I left for Atlanta then for New York and moved back here in 2001.
Before I came back I wanted to see what was new about the area but became frustrated with all of the fragmented information I found on the net. I have compiled as much information as possible about the neighborhoods most African Americans live in as well as the neighborhoods many are choosing to live today. Feel free to ask me any questions if you can't find what you are looking for.
